It all started when she moved to Boston from San Francisco. She met Todd [the Immortal from AtS], mocked him and called him arrogant. He asked her to lunch and she said she'd take him to lunch. It was 'Not A Date'.
In the meantime, Todd had his minions staff assemble a half-assed dossier, which led him to the knowledge that Piper was a Charmed One. At lunch, he confronted her with that knowledge and she listened to him ramble on about how he wanted to 'back her' business interest in a new club. Frustrated, she froze the scene and left. It was time to find an apartment.
Funnily enough, out of all the real estate agents in the city, she managed to get Todd. Go figure those odds. He showed up late and gave her an earful over the sake she ditched him with the day before. No matter, he showed her the house, which happened to be haunted. Or ghosts sent in by Todd's 'good friends'. Either way, she nearly died and Todd got a huge chunk of glass in his throat.
Days later, still without a reliable place to stay, Todd called and suggested she stay with Kara since, according to him, Kara really needed a babysitter friend to stay with her. Piper took his advice and for the short time she stayed with Kara, she really enjoyed it.
Another dinner invitation, this time complete with a bistro and a piano playing empath demon. A dance or three, a kiss on the dance floor, dinner and then back to Todd's place for dessert. No, really. Actual dessert. Death by Chocolate and maybe a kiss on the couch.
The next morning had Piper sneaking out of Todd's bed as quietly as possible and getting a phone call from a frantic Phoebe. Sneaking back into Kara's house, proved difficult. Later that morning, Todd called and requested her assistance with a little problem Cordelia Chase was having in the 18th century. Piper did as he asked and retrieved Cordelia (and Elizabeth Swann) from said time period. Figuring that was more or less the end of her association with Todd, she thought nothing of Paige showing up and quite literally tossing her back across the country to live at the Manor again.
Todd offered to meet her in San Francisco for sushi, but canceled that date due to circumstances beyond his control. (What Todd hadn't known, or had forgotten, was that it was Piper's birthday.) Piper wasn't surprised, but in staying home, she met Wyatt, who tossed her around the room telekinetically for fun (and anger). Todd then called and offered to take her to dinner at the Wharf. She said no and hung up.
Flying across the country and staking out her club, Todd and Piper had it out with her son Chris as a witness, then she took him outside to finish the talk. After blowing all four tires on the Maserati, she said yes to dinner for the Fourth of July and left him there.
The morning of the Fourth dawned bright and beautiful, of course. Piper had the most interesting day. The gifts from Todd had to have reached into five digits and Piper was rather... uncomfortable. So, instead of a party with the Mayor and Sean and Robin Penn, the two of them spent the evening/night driving down the Pacific Coast Highway. They stopped on the hills above Santa Cruz and watched the fireworks and made some of their own. Stopping there at some point in the middle of the night, Todd learned that Piper was adept at pool and the entire escapade made it into the society column in the San Francisco Examiner. Piper was misidentified and couldn't decide whether or not she liked that when she talked to Paige about it the next morning. It was decided (mostly by Paige) that Todd was evil and/or gay. No one is that rich, good looking and charming with impeccable taste. Period.
After shaking off Paige, Piper went upstairs to shower and change, then arrange for the return of the gifts that Todd had sent. Instead, she got a phone call from the devil himself. She invited him for lunch at the Manor, and they talked about their non-relationship. Whatever it was at that point. Breaking from character, Todd agreed more or less to let her know when he left town. Piper was appreciative and they agreed that it was good to be friends. Piper would rather have let a demon go than admit it, but she was a little heartbroken sad.
True to his word, Todd called once he was back in Boston. Told her it was for a 'visit' and when she pointed out that he lived there, his response was, "I've mostly been living in SF, lately, if you didn't notice." Anyway, they did a little bit of reminiscing about the Porsche from the Fourth, and left it at that.
Until Piper saw her name online, in the virtual edition of the Boston Globe. She left a message for Todd to call her, which he did. Since she was going to be in Boston for a belated bachelorette party, she agreed to go to a Boston Red Sox game with him. Little did she know that the Red Sox game was actually in Detroit. Todd's private jet took them to Detroit and brought them back to Boston afterwards. Todd was seen sneaking out of her hotel room at five in the morning and later that day, Piper went back to San Francisco.
Piper ended up back in Boston, this time to try her hand at starting a restaurant, leaving Phoebe and Cole in charge of the manor. Paige had gone back to her reality/time period and with the Power of Three back to the Power of Two, Piper figured, 'Why not'? No, she wasn't going to see Todd while there, either. In fact, she wasn't even going to tell him she was back.
Ah, the best laid plans. Her roommate ended up having a falling out with his father and was banished to his Boston home with his wife. This wouldn't have been a problem for Piper (as there really was no relationship with the roommate) except the father, mother and wife all insisted that she depart.
Immediately.
She called Todd, who came without hesitation to retrieve her and there was a minor tiff with the now-former-roommate when Todd called the Pantheon a 'bunch of losers'. He insisted on referring to Piper in turn as 'sweetie', 'sweetheart', and once in the car (a Lotus, by her joking request), 'honey'.
Driving turned out to be an adventure, and although Piper suggested a hotel, they decided that staying with Todd himself would be the best option for her. She expressed to him her desire to start a restaurant and he agreed that it was a fantastic idea. Continuing with the endearments, she also did not fail to notice he had started speaking in 'we's'. She wasn't sure how to take it, nor what game he might be playing by calling her such darling names, but didn't say anything.
Back at his house, Todd made dinner, flirted and then sent her to bed. Piper then called Phoebe and told her about being kicked out and moving in with Todd. Phoebe called her out on Todd and Piper admitted to kinda-sorta liking him but swearing to get her own place. Soon. Phoebe agreed it was probably best.
Several days later, Piper spent the night with Todd in his room as he was on his way out of town. Unfortunately, when she woke alone in the room the next morning, it was to a demon attack. Shax, the blue demon that killed Prue, had returned and she fought him off with the vanquishing spell. Todd came back, and was slightly unhappy that his house had been trashed. More so, that his first pressing of Kind of Blue had been destroyed. Nevertheless, he was touched when Piper offered to protect him, even though he was Immortal and he offered to take her to the Red Sox game that Friday night. She agreed and he left so she could fix the house (and the record). That was when Chris showed up and they had a mini heart-to-heart.
A cute little aside as Todd becomes a grammar Nazi and Piper has questions over the use of the term 'girlfriend'.
They have a quick little choke up over the use of 'I love you', and then Todd takes Cordelia shopping for a surprise for Piper. Because... at the Red Sox game that Friday, Todd Campbell proposed to Piper Halliwell in a very public, Jumbotron kind of way. They spent the rest of the weekend at the Plaza in New York
Next thing Piper knew, Evil!Paige and Evil!Chris showed up and caused havoc all over the place. First by tearing up the suite at the Plaza (which Piper had to pay for) and then at the Manor before Bianca, Chris and Piper were able to lock them out via magic. Piper went back to the Plaza to get her pha-reak on with her fiance, until Chris showed up AGAIN, taking her back to the Manor because someone else had just showed up. Prue. Piper spent some time reaquainting herself with her lost sister.
Finally, things were going okay.
She started planning the wedding, which (per Kara and Harmony's instructions) was going to be pink and silver. Held on the 21st of December. She went shopping with Kara, and ALL the plans were made. She and Phoebe went for what was supposed to be a 'relaxing' lunch at the Rialto in downtown Boston, but instead, were harassed by reporters. Piper 'accidentally' blew up the guy's camera as soon as he set foot outside and no one was the wiser. That night, they flew to San Francisco for Piper's Bachelorette Party.
Then, there was the wedding and the reception. After that was all done, Todd and Piper left on their honeymoon: a private cruise for the two of them. No phones, faxes, emails or anything else for fourteen days. Everything is going perfect.
Until the Elders show up and remove her family from her life. Everyone except Phoebe. Heartbroken, she collapsed on a chaise and sobbed.
=================
★ So, Piper and Todd got married on December 21, 2005.
★ They went on their honeymoon, which was a thirteen day cruise around the Caribbean. During that time, the Elders came and took Piper's family away, saying they'd been on loan.
★ Not too long after being home, she discovers she's pregnant. The news was taken with a grain of salt since she'd been told she couldn't GET pregnant and HE was under the impression he was infertile.
★ The same day that Piper confirms her pregnancy at the doctor's office, Todd comes home and has to beg off of the Superbowl party they were going to throw since his good friend Paul Allen invited them to the game.
★ Once Piper tells Todd that she is, in fact, pregnant, he starts asking for help with baby names. The suggestions are incredibly amusing. Soup Campbell.
★ Morning sickness began to settle in (as did the cleaning fetish), and Piper chucked Todd's $90 bottle of cologne out the window. Like a true gentleman, he offered to throw anything expensive away for her any time she wanted. He also said he'd take her to the gypsy that he and Cordelia bought her engagement ring from to have things 'checked out'.
★ Before he could do that, Piper called Phoebe over and decided to do a lil Charmed magic to see what they could see. A spell sent them into the future, and they saw a normal daughter for Piper and also one for Phoebe, with them both living once more in the Manor in San Francisco. However, when Piper asked where Todd was, the spell ended.
★ Piper and Todd went to have an ultrasound done, which confirmed it was a girl. Todd was 'very excited' and was convinced that she'd be another Charmed One, 'the greatest sorceress ever' and would be granted early entrance to Hogwarts.
★ They decided on the name Melody and the girl does not arrive with Piper in UTR.
